ERRATUM

RE: "PREDICTION OF ISCHEMIC STROKE RISK IN THE ATHEROSCLEROSIS RISK IN COMMUNITIES STUDY"

Dr. Lloyd Chambless has noted that minus signs were inadvertently omitted from four beta coefficients for men in appendix table 1 of a recent article (1, p. 269). The correct values are: for body mass index, –0.00910; for albumin, –0.72740; for ethanol, –0.00018; and for a low level of high density lipoprotein cholesterol, –0.05212. The authors and the Journal regret these errors.
